Google updates Gmail app for android – BWOne.com

bwone.com twitter.com Today Google release a new update to the Gmail app for android making it its own stand along application available in the android market. Google says that this approach will give users the latest updates to Gmail without having to wait for a whole system update to get the latest features. Also they have added some new functionality with quick access buttons in the subject part of the e-mail which will allow you to star, quick reply and expand your reply options to reply, reply all and forward. Also when scroll up in a e-mail this will now dock itself on the top of the screen for easy access. Also now like you can with the desktop version of Gmail you can hide or show quoted text with a simple click. And the final new feature is limited support for Priority Inbox. If you go to labels and click on important it will populate all the priority items in your inbox. The Gmail app is available now in the android market but is only available for devices that are Android 2.2.
